The Katchi dhol is a popular two-sided Drum played mostly in Central India as an accompanying instrument in folk and regional music. The drum is made of wooden / steel shell with leather or plastic heads. These heads can be tuned with either ropes or nuts-bolts. The Dhol is played with sticks by placing it on the lap or is slung over the neck of the player. The instrument is popularly used in Garba / Dandiya Music and for festive processions.
